Escalation Leagues are a great way to start and learn how to play Warhammer 40,000 and are fun and engaging for even the most experienced players, providing unit customization and campaign goals for players to make their army unique and powerful for the duration of the campaign. Registration
Sign-up period: January 1st to February 28th
Event Kickoff: Paint & Take Session
Date & Time: Friday, February 28th, at 6:30PM
Details: Players will receive a Space Marine miniature to assemble and paint in-store. Instructions on assembly and painting techniques will be provided. This session serves as an introduction into the hobby and an opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with the basics of model building and painting.
League Structure
Duration: Six months, from March 1st to August 31st
Game type: Crusade. Players will use the immersive and narrative missions of the Crusade format to create a unique and powerful force filled with veteran warriors and mighty heroes.
Rounds: The league will consist of seven rounds, each lasting three weeks. The final round will last until the end of the event, culminating in an apocalyptic mega-battle to test your might against the foe!
Schedule
Round 1 (500 points): March 1st -- March 21st
Round 2 (750 points): March 22nd -- April 14th
Round 3 (1000 points): April 15th -- April 31st
Round 4 (1250 points): May 1st -- May 21st
Round 5 (1500 points): May 22nd -- June 14th
Round 6 (1750 points): June 15th -- July 7th
Round 7 (2000 points): July 8th -- August 31st
Gameplay and Meetings
Frequency: Players are encouraged to play at least 2 games per round.
Missions: Scenarios will be provided for each round, gradually introducing more complex objectives and rules to align with your army’s increasing size.
Meetups: Weekly meetups will be held Thursdays at 6:30 PM for organized play, painting sessions, and strategy discussions.
League Scoring
Champion of Atherion: Highest overall score (missions, painting, narrative involvement).
Best Painted Army: Judged during the final event.
Best Narrative: Voted by players for the most compelling army story and background.
Resources and Support
Guidance: Experienced players and staff will be available during meetups to offer advice on army building, painting, and gameplay strategies.
Rulebooks: Core rulebooks and materials will be available for reference.
